The Punjab government under the leadership of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has established a Transgender Skill Development Program for Transgender students in Punjab. Under this initiative Khawaja Sira receives vocational training which teaches essential skills to enhance their prospects for income generation. The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) administers this program which plans to begin operations in March 2025.
